Hi, I’m Aishwary, a Chartered Accountant by profession and a self-starter at heart.
Ever since my childhood, I have always tried to do things I loved, and back in 2006, I started working on creating innovative school projects in electronics to earn my pocket money and have a side gig.
However, I fell in love with finance and started to pursue “CA”, but my entrepreneurial mind would not simply let me sit and study books. My articleship time was an eye-opener for me which taught me many things that I know today. Those three years were the real game-changer. Not only was I taking a closer look into the books of eminent corporate houses, but I was also learning the art of doing business.
Once my articleship got completed, I hopped into building a startup myself for equity-based crowdfunding. I didn’t realize that laws in India do not change overnight, and what I thought would change in 6 months has still not changed even after five years. I quickly realized this and hence exited from it and then focused on completing my Chartered Accountancy.
After completing CA in 2018, I joined PwC, Kolkata, one of the Big4, for a short span of four months. Seeing how technology was taking over, I realized that I needed to upgrade myself technologically to outshine and always be in demand. Hence, I began my journey to learn and update myself.
In Jan’19, I joined American Express as a Financial Analysis Manager & gained certification on Tableau as it was one of the most demanded tools within my organization. Understanding the processes that I handle, I started exploring which technologies could amplify the performance of my process. Meanwhile, seeing my dedication and self-starter approach clubbed with the capabilities to get things done, within two years got nominated for Finance Visionary Award, the highest award in Amex for any finance professional.
RPA, FinTech, and Blockchain became my choice. I got certified in Blockchain and FinTech from INSEAD, CPA Institute, BTA, IBM, Wharton, and IIM-C.
Post certifications, I worked with various international startups helping them design their token economies, engaged in multiple corporate blockchain adoption proposals, and started deliberating on blockchain on multiple forums. I launched three courses on Blockchain for Finance professionals, which are available at Skill91.
I worked with ZebPay for a short span of 3 months and then took up a research role at SEBA (A Digital Asset Bank in Switzerland), where I am currently employed.
